Setting Your Kids Up for Success So They Don't Need Consequences (and What Consequences to Use When They Are Needed)

Parents often complain that their kids don’t cooperate or don’t listen, but are you doing your job in helping them cooperate and making it easy for them to listen? Especially with our tweens and teens, a lack of cooperation shows up when their expectations are different than ours. But have we really articulated our expectations fully and clearly? If not, we have not set our kids. up for success.
