Moms' Support Group INTEREST SHEET
Moms' Support Group INTEREST SHEET
Hi Mom,
When I had an infant, and my mom friends and I would argue which baby apparatus was the one we couldn’t Iive without, I would look and my friends and say, “YOU: I couldn’t raise this baby without you, the moms who keep me sane.”
Seriously. By five o’clock every day, I was ready to sell my kid to the gypsies.
Or throw her against the wall.
Parenting is not for the faint hearted!
It was talking to my mom friends that kept me grounded. They talked me down from the edge when I was worried that my two year old was still mainly communicating in one-syllable utterances. They helped relieve my mom guilt about divorcing and setting up my child for a life lead going back and forth between two houses.
Right through college applications, it was getting on the phone and comparing notes with my mothering peers that allowed me to be patient and present with my kids.
And let’s face it: Being patient might be the hardest task of parenting of all. We get triggered! And that is painful for us and makes it hard for us to parent calmly and objectively.
This is why I am creating Moms’ Support Groups!
Here’s how it works:
You will fill out an INTEREST SHEET with your time zone and ideal times/days for meeting.
You will tell me the ages of your kids and list the areas around you might want more support.
As soon as I have a group of 4-6 moms who can commit to a certain time/day, with kids around the same age, we will set up five coach-lead 60-minute meetings. The investment is $197.
In the meetings you will bring your thoughts, feelings, worries and unique situations. I will bring my toolbox of techniques for supporting kids and deep listening skills.
If at the end of the 5 sessions, at least 4 people want to continue, we will find additional meeting times.
How does all this sound to you?
Today all you have to do is fill out the INTEREST SHEET. Filling out the Interest Sheet does not obligate you to join. When I have a potential group for you, I will reach out with the particulars and ask if you’d like to join.
Feel free to email or call if you have any questions.

Why with Elisabeth Stitt?
In twenty-five years of teaching, I taught Kindergarteners through 12th Graders (but most of my years were spent during the challenging middle school years). Close to 3000 student contacts later, I have a sample size that is bigger than most scientific studies. That really means I have seen it all. All kinds of kids, all kinds of families. I can say what worked for the vast majority of families—and I still have a deep bag of tools for those challenging outlying kids. My own kids are grown and flown, happy young adults pursuing meaningful careers. Things might seem hard now, but as your skills develop and you take the time to address your parenting in a focused way, life will get much easier, you will get more confident, and you will enjoy your kids more fully.
What are parents saying?
I LIKED STARTING WITH THE VALUES; THAT WAS A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE. IT HELPS YOU FOCUS ON WHY YOU GET TRIGGERED AS A PARENT. I ALSO LIKED THE MANTRA THAT THE RELATIONSHIP IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE ISSUE. —PARENT OF A TEEN
“Elisabeth really kept our conversations on track. It was so helpful to have a set time every wekk to process our parenting issues. ” --HEATHER P.
I LOVE THE IDEA OF KIDS LEARNING TO BE COOPERATIVE NOT FOR REWARDS BUT BECAUSE “FAMILIES WORK TOGETHER." —ANTONIA O.
“I had heard ABOUT PARENTING STYLES, BUT ELISABETH REALLY EXPLAINED WHAT THE DIFFERENCES WERE AND WHY AUTHORITATIVE PARENTING IS BETTER. THEN SHE SHOWED US STEP-BY-STEP HOW TO BE AUTHORITATIVE PARENTS. NOW I FEEL LIKE I HAVE A GAME PLAN FOR HANDLING MY KIDS” --CHRIS B.
